Where to Watch UFC & Boxing in LIC or Astoria?

DIVE BAR LIC - BEST UFC BAR IN TOWN

Dive Bar LIC, a one of a kind concept

There’s a big difference between a bar that “has the fight on” and a bar that is the place for the fight. If you’ve been around Long Island City long enough, you already know where this is going. Dive Bar LIC has quietly become the go-to for UFC and PPV boxing, and it’s not by accident.

Most spots treat fights like background noise. One or two TVs, maybe the sound is on, maybe it’s not, and half the room couldn’t care less. Here, the fight is the night. Screens are where they need to be, audio is actually on, and the crowd is there for the same reason you are. When something big happens, the whole room reacts. That’s the difference.

What really separates it though is how they handle the pay-per-view side. A lot of places in NYC lean into covers the second there’s a big card. You’re paying just to walk in the door before you even think about ordering anything. Dive Bar LIC doesn’t play it like that. Most fight nights are straight up free. You show up, grab a drink, find your spot, and you’re in.

For the bigger events, the kind of cards people plan their weekend around, they’ll run a food and drink minimum instead of a cover. Which is how it should be. You’re there for a few hours, you’re eating, you’re drinking, it just makes sense. No weird barrier to entry, no feeling like you got hit before the first punch is even thrown.

And it actually works. The room fills with people who want to be there, not people who just paid a cover and are now deciding if they care. Groups come early to lock in tables, regulars know the routine, and if you’re smart you’re not showing up last minute expecting prime real estate.

Food and drinks hold up too. You can settle in for an entire card without feeling like you’re stuck. Wings, burgers, beers, everything you need to ride out prelims through main event without thinking twice about it.

If you’re in Long Island City, Astoria, or anywhere nearby in Queens, this is one of those easy decisions. When there’s a big UFC card or a boxing fight worth watching, you don’t need to bounce around or overthink it.

You just go to Dive Bar LIC and call it a night done right.

If you’re a little deeper into Queens or coming from Astoria, you’re covered too. The Rabbit Hole carries that same fight night energy, just in its own lane. It’s a bit more tucked in, a little more intimate, but when there’s a real card on it locks in the same way. Screens are set up so you’re not craning your neck all night, the sound is actually on and clear, and the room is filled with people who came for the fight. You still get that moment where something big happens and the whole place reacts at once, which is really what you’re chasing on a PPV night.

They run it the right way too. You’re not dealing with some random cover just to get through the door. Most nights it’s free to walk in, grab a drink, and settle in for the card. When it’s one of those bigger UFC or boxing nights that everyone’s been waiting on, they’ll tie it to a food and drink minimum instead. It keeps the room full of people who are actually staying, ordering, and invested in the night, not just passing through. If LIC is the easy go-to, Rabbit Hole is that same experience for Astoria without having to overthink it or travel far.
